Colosseum

Constructed between AD 72 and AD 80 under the emperors Vespasian and Titus, this elliptical amphitheater is the largest of its kind ever built, capable of seating between 50,000 to 80,000 spectators.Once the stage for gladiatorial contests, public spectacles, and dramatic reenactments, the Colosseum showcases remarkable Roman engineering with its intricate design, including an underground network that housed gladiators and wild animals. Despite suffering damage from earthquakes and stone robbers over the centuries, it remains a testament to the ingenuity of the Roman Empire and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Palatine Hill

Palatine Hill, the most central of Rome's seven hills, is a site of profound historical significance and mythological resonance. It is traditionally considered the birthplace of Rome, where Romulus is said to have founded the city in the 8th century BC. Archaeological evidence indicates that the area has been inhabited since at least 1000 BC, showcasing remnants from the Iron Age, including huts and tombs.

Historically, the hill became a residential area for the Roman aristocracy, particularly from the 2nd to the 1st century BC, when opulent palaces were constructed. Notable structures include the House of Augustus and the House of Livia, both of which feature remarkable frescoes and decorations

Roman Forum

The Roman Forum, known in Latin as Forum Romanum, is a rectangular plaza located between the Palatine and Capitoline Hills in Rome, serving as the heart of ancient Roman public life. It was the epicenter for political, legal, and social activities, hosting triumphal processions, elections, public speeches, and gladiatorial contests.Originally a marshy area, the Forum was transformed in the 6th century BC with the construction of the Cloaca Maxima, one of the world's earliest sewage systems, which drained the land. Over the centuries, it evolved into a bustling marketplace and civic center, adorned with significant structures such as the Temple of Saturn, the Arch of Titus, and the Senate House (Curia).
